DFW - what "luxury" can't you live without?

No, a brazillian blow dry is a keratine treatment to straighten the hair on your head
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Fairy liquid - Just something about it no other brands match up to!
Chanel liquid eyeliner - Also ask for it for birthday/christmas or buy with Love to Shop vouchers from work
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!0 -
I bulk buy things like fairy when I see it at £1 or less in the shops.
I also do that with the deoderant I like, Sure. It runs about 1.70 a roll on but often they have £1 promos so I buy 6.
Last year Waitrose were doing kids non rechargable electric toothbrushes for £2 each instead of £4.99. I bought 6 & my son has a years supply of toothbruhes.
Initial outlay is higher but saves in the long run.

OK, I admit it. I have expensive taste in certain things but on this DFW journey I have had to make alot of sacrifices. BUT there are certain things I just can't or wont give up.
Here is a list of my absolutly must haves;
1) Estee Lauder doublewear foundation £27 - Lasts approx 4-5 months & I try to get gifts of it at Christmas so only really buy it once or twice a year.
2) Estee Lauder mascara £22 - again lasts for 3 months & I get vouchers or part of Christmas gift so buy 2-3 times a year.
3) Brazillian blowdries & cut £130 - every 5 months to keep the mop in check.
Have you checked that these are the cheapest prices for your foundation and mascara? Also have you tried a different brand?
£130 sounds a lot to get your hair done especially for just a cut and blow dry!! I paid £80 last time to get mine done for a cut, colour and blow dry. The lady told me then that if I went on a Monday, I could get it cheaper. Could you perhaps get yours done cheaper? A different stylist at same salon for example can be cheaper or going to same stylist on different day can again be cheaper.
As for my own luxuries.
My extended wear contact lenses at £30 pcm are a must- could wear cheaper dailies or even fortnightly ones but I love being abel to see first thing in the morning :-)Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.0 -
I shop around but find cheaper means having to pay for postage from online which then doesn't make it cheaper in the end! but I've been through all the brands, trust me, after nearly 40 years, I know what works.

The hair isn't a cut, it is a treatment that last 5 months & means I don't need to do anything to my hair except rough dry it & it keeps it's shape, style & smoothness as well as straightens my naturally frizzy hair. it wouldn't be any cheaper on another day, the cut is usually a trim & incuded in the price. But this is one luxury I will never give up after years of bad hair days.

Holidays to Florida! But I earn all the extra money and keep a blog about it.
MAC foundation. Again pricy at over £20, but one does last me a year and nothing comes close.
There are some things that aren't really pricey, but just things I will not scrimp on. They are:
Car wash. I am NOT going through the hassle of washing my own car to save myself £3 to go through a car wash. Nope.
Using the tumble dryer. Not in summer, but we spent last winter in a new house and I just went and bought a dryer in the end. Washing was hanging around for days, needed to be rewashed and the whole house was damp. For the sake of 50p-£1 per load I would rather use the dryer. Yes, I know about rotating the washing, using radiators, etc but it just is not worth it.
Nice squash. I don't like the normal flavours like orange or blackcurrant, so I often need to spend a bit more getting nicer flavours.I like to make money
Best wins: £3,000 luxury holiday, holiday in Cornwall, £250 Murad Skincare hamper, angle grinder
:j Make £10 a day challenger - it pays for trips to Florida! :j

I have a two week trip to the US every year and drive a high end car.
Coffee has be Tassimo, sweaters have to be lambswool. Jeans CK. Fossil handbags. But I can only have a new handbag when I have sold enough books on Amazon to pay for it. So only perhaps two a year, old ones go on ebay towards a new sweater. That will come from ebay. I don't mind good second hand so long as the quality is there, tend to buy the jeans when Iam in the US as the sizing is different.
Apart from that everything else can go, no heating in the winter and showers that just about do the job.Ebay 13

Hi,
Good coffee and p.g tips decaff.
Face wash prone to bad skin and very sensitive to low cost brands (dermalogica )
My hair being cut and coloured every 8 weeks £ 45. Makes me happy (I have a lot of grey for someone so young!)
Try to have a holiday once a year ranging from tenting budget to all inclusive abroad. We work hard for our money and do need a deserved break with the children.
One other thing i wont compromise on is providing for our children, school trips, afternoon club of choice. We never had it as our parents could not afford it, I know its not necessary but gives the children different experiences. ( the children have two jobs a day, sorting out school bags and helping with dinner) good lessons on working for their treats as we do!0
