Warm and Wise Scheme

Has anyone used or heard of South London "warm and wise" scheme?

I have just bought a 2 bed maisonette and don't have a bundle of cash but it needs complete re-furbishment.

We need to remove a back boiler from behind fireplace and add new central heating system, so was going to replace the whole lot and have new combi boiler with 4 radiators and new pipes.

Apparently the scheme is connected to certain suppliers in the area that give you dicounts off high efficiency boilers, so was wondering if anyone has used this or heard of it or....

If you can suggest another way of saving money in this area please let me know.

Funny, looking for a phone number for one of the departments at my local council this morning in one of their leaflets, I noticed that The warm wise scheme is offered through the council in my area. It offers discounts on cavity wall insulation, loft insulation, high energy efficiency boilers & heating controls.

Cavity wall & loft insulation seem to be up to half the normal price and boilers £50 discount.
