Hi all, first time on a meter and online it states we are using 0.5 m3 per day, is this normal for a 2 person household? We are in most days as well so it probably gets used quite a lot.

  • Got no idea, don't even know what m3 is! I looked online to see just how much one litre of water is from a water company and couldnt find the answer I wanted, just gobbledygook that I couldn't understand.

I tried and got the same, I thought the MSE experts might be able to throw some light on it. ;)

The UK average is 50 to 60 cubic metres per person per year.

You are using water at over 180 m3 pa. So about 50% above average.

It seems a water meter is not for us then, glad we are renting and will be moving to a property that doesn't have one soon.

    thanks all
