Either locale is viable but It depends what Co-op can offer and you'll need to contact them for that info.

• Britannia are just a brand of Co-op bank like First Direct with HSBC.They could get the funds with a few days notice.

• The banking arrangement with the The Post Office can include the payout larger amounts of cash with prior arrangement and ID.

I know its lats but post office, no you can only have £250. It has been known you can get more at a britannia, they will call up and do something to over the phone to override the limit, not sure of the specifics, but if your nearest co-op branch is miles away its worth asking.

All I know about the Co-Operative Bank, is that I was contemplating moving my account to them a while ago so I went into the branch in Kingston on Thames and said "Can I talk to someone about opening an account here". This seemed to throw the staff who all seemed to be juveniles on a work experience session into a complete flap. After several huddles about how to resolve this unexpected dilemma the girl came back and advised " could you ring our head office and get them to make an appointment for you" I did not take up their suggestion, the Bank was totally empty of customers , I would have got a warmer response if I had gone in with an axe handle
