Hello everybody,
I am currently on an Orange contract and am nearing the end of the 12-month tie-in.
I am currently getting 100% cashback from the Mobile Outlet (terrible story, but anyway they end up paying each time I go to Moneyclaim).
I want to stay with Orange since they are now the only ones including the famous 07744 numbers (to call abroad) in their free minutes. Regarding my new contract, I am sure that, even if I haggle, I won't get 12 months of cashback direct from Orange so would like to use another company like TMO (but not them!) to get full cashback.
As I would like to keep my number, do you think I could ask to port it to a PAYG (other than Orange), and then use e2save or others to subscribe to a new Orange contract by porting the number again?
In other words:
- Is it possible to port from an Orange contract to a Voda/O2/T-Mobile/Virgin PAYG?
- Then, is it possible to port from this PAYG to a new Orange contract?
I am worried Orange might recognise the number and refuse to do it...
Any advice welcome!!!
Cheers,
Luke

Yes it's possible.
But chances are if you don't get a new phone Orange will give you a great deal.0 -
