issues with samsung galaxy s3
well where to start! my sister got a samsung galaxy s3 on tmobile contract, since she got the phone she has had issues with it ie, not taking calls (going straight to answer phone) lack of internet connection etc. She took it into the shop who told her there was an issue with her handset and would sent it away to be repaired. this was well over a month ago! she has popped into the shop on several occasions and still its not back etc. the last visit to the shop she was told her screen is smashed and she has to pay £130 to fix that before they can fix her problem on handset! when she took the phone in the screen was not smashed, they written down the description of the phone which didn't include a smashed screen!
now she doesn't know what to do or where she stands! she has missed vital calls regarding her sons hospital appointments etc!
can anyone offer me any advice i can pass on to her about what she can do?

I guess it depends on what the definition of 'smashed' screen is...I'm pretty sure that this is not what is on the report.
If you don't feel that the screen was broken before it went in for repair - ask them to send it back with the engineers report. If it comes back to you in a different state (ie with a visibly broken screen) then you need to take that up with the store/network.
As for missing vital calls - your sister could always get herself a cheap basic phone for use while hers is away for repair - they can be picked up for very little money. She can use her own sim in that.0 -
Does he have the written 'description'?
If so, send them a letter before action giving them, say, 7 days to repair and return the handset and saying that otherwise you are submitting a claim to the small claims court for the full price of the phone and all related expenses.0 -
apparently the screen is cracked which was not before it went in for the different repair, and now they are saying after they have had the phone well over a month that the screen is now cracked.
They have given her another basic phone whilst hers is being repaired which is fine but whilst hers was broken she missed the calls. It is the principle of the fact she is paying a contract monthly for a smartphone which she not being able to use and has had it replaced with a basic phone and now want money for a cracked screen which wasnt like that in the first place.0 -
