Just seen your edit Valli and your further comment warehouse. You're right about needing a thick skin!!!! Wasn't expecting such posts, but thankfully I've managed to keep the tears at bay, so far0

No problem
I think any parent would react with emotion I know I certainly would!! If you speak to them and discuss it without bringing the emotion into it they will be good with you but id probably speak to them with an idea of what I wanted in my mind
. Also you will recieve a welcome pack of chocolates and wine when you return (if you do return) and your lodge will be throughly checked before your arrival I assure you!! haha

It could happen any time of course but I would like them to acknowledge that they have reinforced their processes and ensured that all cleaning staff have been informed to do thorough checks.
Much more important than compensation.
That's a good point. The email just thanks us for giving them the opportunity to restore our faith in them. I'll suggest to inlaws to ask about any new procedures.0 -

As an aside my Mum booked into a Travelodge once and found a packet of condoms in the bedside draw! The staff fell over themselves to apologise but she thought it was hilarious! (did I mention that she is 90 and a widow? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:)
:rotfl: just :rotfl: Your mum rocks!!0 -

Why do people confuse or interchange the words draw and drawer?
I've seen that a couple of times recently
Is it just a common typo?0 -

Yep, its fairly common. I think a lot of auto correct software corrects drawers to draws as well.
Have a look on eBay for 'Chester Draws'I've said it before but Chester Draws gives me a vision of a chimp with crayons.
Also, just for the fun, keep an eye out for Walldrobes. A little rarer than chester draws but more amusing.0 -

Never seen Walldrobes I'll look out for that one.
Chester Draws - could be a !!!!!! star.0 -
Oh honestly what a load of old hysteria to blag a free holiday. If you were that upset leave, why stay.
Centre parcs, for two villas, we are talking thousands in holidays. I know as I use them. So significant compo if you want the cost of the holiday back.
As a parent when I go on holiday, anywhere, I sweep check the place. Shouldn't have to, but with kids you never know. You can never tell what the cleaners might of missed. Under the bed, back of the wardrobe, in the corner of the cupboard.
This time, the spot checks any parent should do, prevented a nasty accident. I don't see why you're so hysterical op really. It wasn't even a near miss, like you found the child with them. You did your job as a parent and spotted their mistake. Then got £100 off your next holiday.
You want more for the trauma though right?0 -

You can actually own a copy of The Lion, the Witch and the Waldrobe...

I think it might be rare.
Anyway, derailment over I promise.0
