Compensation on cancellation of flight on package holidays

I was booked to go on a package holiday to Majorca but due to air strike in France the flights were cancelled. The Ryanair are compensating us back for the flights. The accommodation however we can't claim back from the insurance company as we were not covered for that. Can we claim the money back from the credit card company? Our tour provider was A1 travel.

Not your CC provider as the hotel had nothing to do with you not staying. Your recourse would be to your travel insurer for the hotel cost.0
