Best Price For Bulk Ecover?

I buy in bulk from these people:
http://www.faithinnature.co.uk/shop_frameset.asp
It's not Ecocover, it's Clear Spring.
I buy enough to get 'free delivery' - that is to say, I get huge vats of dishwasher gel (fantastic stuff), rinse aid, laundry liquid, shower gel and shampoo. I transfer the stuff into more manageable sized bottles and put the big containers on shelves in my garage. The whole family really like Clear Spring - which is just as well!
k
my local coop in cambridge refill your clearspring bottle i seem to remember its cheaper to do that than buy a new bottle of the stuff. its worth asking to refill if you can find somewhere that stocks clearspring - not many places do.0 -
Top Tip - I find it works well to use washing liquid - and you can use less if you sort through the clothes and just rub a little bit in where there's a mark (which you can't do with powder) - If you change your clothes every day and they don't get really dirty, you don't need a lot of detergent, just a minimum wool wash and a spot of washing liquid. I sometimes wash unsoiled clothes without any detergent, and they come out lovely and clean if they just need some refreshing!0

I do all my bulk buying at www.ecotopia.co.uk they do huge packs of toilet rolls and Ecover in 25l and 5l containers then you just refill your empties which means less landfill, plus they do loads of other stuff in bulk.
I know that the Tesco's so called eco cleaning products aren't made by Ecover thank god! Ecover make all their stuff at an eco factory with the environment in mind I doubt Tesco could say that!
Plus Tesco is cheaper as they are a billion pound profit making company that can afford to undercut everyone!0 -
Thanks to all for this thread. I have trouble getting the eco products and resorted to buying form M&S yesterday!!! Mega bucks.
I am going to put in an order for the things I need from Faith in Nature.
I only use tiny amounts of detergent in my washing and never use conditioner - well almost never, i keep the free samples for things i want to smell extra nice, like bedding etc.

You can also buy Ecover products and other eco cleaning products at wholesale prices from www.greendepot.co.uk I think they have a minimum order but it is great for small businesses. I think they are the sister company of www.ecotopia.co.uk that Maisey Malloney mentioned it is definitely worth having a look at both sites for good value bulk buying of eco cleaning products.0

I can't compare as I've not yet used Ecover washing up liquid, but the Tesco naturally washing up liquid is *crap*.Hiya,
I have recently spotted a range of cleaning products at Tesco's called "Tesco naturally". It's displayed between the Ecover range and looks almost identical. The ingredients look very much the same and it's a lot cheaper.
Quick price comparison for laundry liquid (based on buying 1/5L tesco stuff):
1.5L Tesco GBP 3.49 <> Ecover 4.39 at Tesco.
For 5 L Tesco would be GBP11.63 (Ecover online approx 16-17)
For 25L - GBP58.71 (Ecover online apporx GBP70-75)
Even though bulk containers are not on the shelve, buying 1.5L all the time seems a lot cheaper than the Ecover bulk containers from online shops (disadvantage is use of more packaging material)
Does anyone know more about these products?
Obviously it's a private label, but could it just be Ecover producing it?
Is it just as good (environmentally and from a cleaning point of view)?
Any more info is welcome.
Many thanks!

I used to get my Ecover bottles refilled at my local health food shop (see the Ecover website for a list of retailers who will do refills). However, much as I love supporting local businesses, the woman running it is always so rude that I didn't want to support her any more!
I now buy massive vats of Ecover handwash, shower gel, fabric conditioner, general purpose cleaner and washing liquid from www.wigglywigglers.co.uk
I have bought pump dispensers for the bathrooms to put the shower gel and handwash in, and I simply re-fill my old Ecover bottles for the fabric conditioner and washing liquid. With the multi-purpose cleaner, I make it up into a weak solution in an old Flash spray bottle and use it to clean the kitchen and bathrooms. You can also use it slightly less diluted for cleaning floors.
I spent about £100 in one go on all this but it will last me for months.0 -
so we're not much better off then
so do i go to the eco house (which is 15 miles away) for more expensive refills, or just buy online or go back to mr T? it's a hard one....
i tried bio D and it was, I'm afraid to say RUBBISH in comparison...i was very disappointed as i had high hopes.....

I noticed in Mr T today (not my prefered shop but occassionally needs must) that Ecover washing powder both bio and no bio are reduced by £1 - I got 3 boxes (1 bio) and luckily the cashier put through 3 Non bio so £4 saved not bad.The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0

Hi,
Just got 5 boxes of Simply washing powder for £10.98. According to Good housekeeping it is just as good/ better AND half/ a third of the price of Persil, Ecover, Ariel etc... AND is totally environmentally friendly.
On their website they have buy 4 get one free with 10% off. Also, I have posted the "netmums1" code on the discount finder to get a further 10% off. This runs out today. Plus free delivery!
