  • Thanks so much to OP. I managed to get 3 BB creams at lunchtime for £3.42 following all the advise on here and paying on SS tills (I was shaking so hard when I tried this but it worked !) :). Fab as I wanted to try them anyway but didn't want to pay £12.95, so £3.42 for 3 is absolute bargain.

Does any one know how much the following would be :

    3 x tinted moisturiser
    3 x bronzing pallette

Trying to do bootsing maths and I get £1.25 for both transactions ????? Is that right ???? Anyone confirm for me ? Thanks in advance

Took my 18 year old student spendaholic dd in today to show her how it's done. Gave her my No7 vouchers acquired over the last week on my S&G spends, got the £4 DD voucher from the machine and showed her the offers on No7 and S&G. For around a tenner she got 3 BB creams, the DD pencil, the cheekmate and a S&G concealer.
We're getting there eventually....by the time she leaves Uni she'll have worked out she can buy decent makeup etc and still have money for wine!
Thanks to all who've submitted on this thread.

  • I never have any luck. I went to a SS till in Metro Centre Gateshead armed with 3 BB creams, a till spit voucher for £8 and a manned till £5 and £3 voucher. Scanned the 3 BB creams and the £8 till spit and it didn't work and the SA came over. He did an override and put till spit through as £5 discount then wouldn't let me scan the £5 voucher - only the £3 voucher. Total came to about £12. I wasn't going to pay that when I know others have managed to use vouchers totalling £16 so I said he'd got me very confused and could I just have all my vouchers back so I could start again.

Can anyone tell me how I can get the till spit to work when it doesn't scan? Is there a way I can key in the bar code myself?

Do you ever shop in Eldon Sq? They have self service tills too and never seem to have SA's hanging about so maybe you could try use all the vouchers there.

Part of the Furniture 100 Posts Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Today I bought 3 of the No7 bronzing pearls and picked up a 70p Milky Way bar.

    I used the shiny voucher £3 & £5

Plus till spit of the same amounts

    The till owed me 38p!!!

    And paid it me!!

Which means had I not got the chocolate I would've been paid £1.08 to take it away!

I was so shocked I must've gone beet root lol

Ah yes, this is something to watch out for as the 3 items would come to £14.92 so make sure you bump it up to £16 before using the vouchers to avoid it possibly alerting the supervisor!

This sounds great and I'm ready to try! So how much would it be if I bought 3 mosaic bronzers? Or would bronzing pearls be better/worse?And how do I get the till split - is there a minimum spend? I've got the glossy vouchers so just need to know what I'm doing next...

you buy something in Boots totalling at least £4, and pay using ss tills - thats how you get a ss tillspit.

your bronzing pearls are cheaper, so they would be free and you'd get money taken off anything else you have in your basket (the vouchers total £16, the discounts on the bronzing pearls leave a balance of £14.92 to pay, so I usually add something to the value of around £1.20 so I am paying pennies).

your bronzing pallettes would be £17.25 - £16 in vouchers, so £1.25 to pay.

I went to 5 stores on oxford street and only found one shiny womble  Plenty of SS wombles to be had though :) I had better use my shiny womble wisely :D Are the bronzers any good and is there a difference between the pallete and the pearls? TIA :)
