  • yep, thats it :D, in 2 seperate transactions, its £1.25 for each set of 3 products.
Thank you so much balletshoes for confirming that, what a fab, fab, fab deal ! I have 3 ss tillspits burning a hole in my purse now, but no shinys ! So will have to do 3 separate transactions at manned tills to get the shinys. I'm thinking of getting the following (x 3 transactions)

    2 x bronzing pallet
    1 x tinted moisturiser

Am I right in thinking that as each product is £11.50, the total for transaction should only be £1.25 even if I combine them as above ???? Or maybe even 3 x bronzing pearls with some shopping (almost free then). Thanks
  • Does anyone know what to do if the till spit voucher won't scan and the SA has to intervene as they then put it through as £5. Is it possible the shop I used has set the tills up so that all the till spits need an override by SA do you think?

Does anyone know if there is a way I can key in the bar code on the voucher and not have to involve SA?

I don't think the tills will be set up to reject your tillspit. However, the tillspits can become unreadable because they are flimsy, was the one you used crumpled, or spotted, or smudged at the barcode?

I tried to use a £2 off mascara voucher from the ACM at a manned till and the till knew the item was one penny off the £3 spend as it beeped when she scanned the voucher. So I think the till can be programmed to reject a voucher. The item was on offer from £3.99 to £2.99 so I thought it would have went through no problem, was worth a try :)

but the till beeped with your voucher because your item didn't meet the conditions for the voucher to work? Thats standard - otherwise we'd all be bunging through any and all vouchers we had for any random purchase :rotfl:.

I can see why the till beeped on your transaction - and yes, I think it was worth a try anyway.

I've bought a few on ebay too! :j i find Boots are more expensive than the supermarkets for most things and it has been difficult to keep spending £4.

The shinys are about £1 inc postage on ebay, and with a wombled SS voucher it works out much more cost effective!

I'm being a bit slow - which products can I combine to get to £1.25 or £3.25? I managed to get it to £3.67 for 2 bronzing palettes and a tinted moisturizer then £5.52 for 2 moisturisers and a bronzing palette! I'm doing something wrong :(

I don't need more of these so do any other items work?

Oh and I have 15 ss vouchers but no shiney ones - if anyone wants a ss spit and lives in Reading just ask and I can meet you to share them! (I bought a lot of baby bits and lunch etc in numerous transactions - apologies if you were behind me today!!).

  • I spent yesterday looking for Boots with self service, none at either Clapham junction stores, Brompton Road, Gloucester Road or Fulham Road.

Finally discovered one at Fulham Broadway and just picked up 3X tinted moisturisers for £1.25!!!

Also picked up 2 more till spits and then bought lunch at the Boots nearest to my work and sweetly asked for a couple of glossies.

Off to Oxford St tonight :T
