Well I have Sky TV but my broadband and phone is with TalkTalk.
I just connect Skybox to router with an Ethernet cable and that's it.

From the Sky website (my bold)
"Unlock entertainment on demand to enjoy the UK's biggest Catch Up TV service and lots more. Simply connect your compatible Sky+ box to any broadband router - you just need an Ethernet cable, available from any electrical shop, or a Wireless Connector from Sky."
I connect to mine via wifi as it is a long way away in another room.

So your outside of sky's broadband catchment area. Just get any broadband for your new home and tell sky your moving and arrange a date to have them install your sky package.
If you want to find best broadband, check on a site called samknows, that will tell you if your exchange is just BT or if another provider has there equipment installed.

Can't believe this......why didn't they mention this when they have a web page advertising it?
Looks like I'll have to get another broadband provider which is a nuisance as I will lose my email address that I have with sky

Before you swap, set up something like a gmail account
You'l be able to set it up to log on to your Sky account and fetch the email from it.
If you also login to the Sky email account and set it up to forward all mail to your new gmail account, it'll be belt and braces.
In the meantime start updating everyone with your new email address.
I wouldn't be surprised if the Sky one never dies TBH0 -

Because they would rather you take their broadband
As for email it is a good idea, as already mentioned, to get one not tied to a particular isp as then when and if you do move provider there are no issues.
I know I have a Sky email but I have no idea what it is and have never used it.
There are plenty of providers of email.
Some might even allow less snooping that Google and Yahoo.:cool:0
