Aw,I know,it just makes me cry whenever I read it,
I have a Charlie too, hes 11 years old and just huge and as mad as it sounds he is such a kind cat,
he lets the strays outside have his food and then he waits patiently and eats what is left lol and thanks to him I now have 4 cats instead of 2 as he kindly bought these 2 in a year apart to feed in my house, couldnt trace the owners so kept them both.
Hes so docile even birds land close by him and he just ignores them, its not his age,hes always been like it.

That sounds exactly like our Charlie! :rotfl: The OH and me were just talking last night (after watching that Secret Lives Of Cats programme) about how Charlie would just let other cats in to eat his food, he'd just stand there and watch them!

He was a big laid back ginger Tom, abit of a Garfield cat! He was such a kind cat too :)

The cat we have now, is hyper! If anyone tried to nick his food, he wouldn't stand for it! :rotfl: The Vets fear him (seriously!), he's got a reputation down there! But, he does have his loving moments too :)

Ah yes, he was gorgeous! I knew I wanted a ginger cat before we went to the cattery, and lo and behold, there he was, not long been handed in....it was meant to be! It turned the OH from a not really bothered about cats (just ignored his brothers cats when we went round) to a great BIG softy. :rotfl:

Yes, we miss him terribly, but getting George helped us a great deal, and the fact that he is a TOTALLY different personality to Charlie is great, if we'd got another one with a similar personality, it would have been a lot harder I think.

We've totally got our hands full with George, he went missing 2 times, once he was locked in the neighbours greenhouse all night, another time he got himself locked in another neighbours car boot for a few hours. He terrorises the vets, you just have to say he's name and they're like "Ah George!"
