Remember Gallipoli..go to the Greek islands instead..Feudal Britain needs land reform. 70% of the land is "owned" by 1 % of the population and at least 50% is unregistered (inherited by landed gentry). Thats why your slave box costs so much..0

I wouldn't have thought much would be open and it would be cold on a night.
We usually do Hisaronou ( 5k away) in August / September, last year most places were shutting down in September and it was cold on an evening
Went early this year, first week in June, everyone wearing jackets on an evening and it was very quiet0 -
I've been to Olu Deniz last week in October a few times. The daytime is still beautiful, the temperatures are often in the upper 20's, and although you can get some pretty spectacular storms, they are usually at night and over quite quickly. The days are shorter though and the nights quite cool. Having said that, although Olu Deniz and Bodrum are both in the Mugla province, Bodrum is further north and can be a few degrees cooler and being a pensinsula there is a breeze which can make the air temperature feel cooler - great in summer, not so great later in the year. For that reason alone, in October I'd prefer Olu Deniz to Bodrum.I'm a retired employment solicitor. Hopefully some of my comments might be useful, but they are only my opinion and not intended as legal advice.0

Have you not considered Marmaris? We are a family of 5 and go in July, very child friendly. Good transport around locally, cheap food to eat out. Not bothered about the protests as they are miles away..0

It might be a waste of your time posting suggestions for the OP.
He started another thread (link above) that seemed to say they had decided on Bodrum but.......Hello all. I appologize for what will no doubt sound extreme to you all but we are about to book our first holiday abroad...ever.
We are thinking of going to Bodrum in Turkey ...but we have a deep set fear. We are terrified...and please understand we are NOT exaggerating when we say that...terrified of having one of our boys...our beautiful blonde boys snatched or somehow taken from us ...while we are sleeping or..maybe in the hussle and bussle of some market of WHATEVER !!
We have just discussed it again tonight...just now...and we are seriously considering not going at all now.
To be honest I dont know why I am posting this because what can you say ? nothing is there ...cos it could happen couldnt it...however careful you are....it happens :-( strange place..strangers...nothing but strangers.
I dont know how to finish this thread....I cant bare the thought of it :-(
