Do you use your horn correctly?

The airbag is activated electrically by a couple of wires that end up at a controller elsewhere in the car which itself makes the decision based on a whole bunch of other sensors in the car.
You could smash your steering wheel repeatedly with a brick and the airbag wouldn't go off.0 -

I was thinking of that exact video, unfortunately it's fake, was from an Ikea advert.0

Unfortunately, on my old Daewoo, such violence wouldn't set off the horn either.....
It had a stupid arrangement where the horn was activated by two leaf switches on the far left and right sides of the wheel -- the bit in the middle where the airbag was didn't respond when pressed. This was by design -- another piece of GM stupidity acquired by DAT I believe.
My heart sank when I saw what looked like the same arrangement on the Mondeo -- thankfully it responds to a blast on the middle of the wheel as well, which does make the buttons rather redundant!
(The Mondeo does, however share the same "upside-down" wiper/washer stalk as the Daewoo though -- what is it with these Yank tanks and crap design?).0 -

A light crawler is one of those dumb arsed idiots that set off slowly from one set of green lights and crawl towards the next set thinking they are a genius who times it exactly so they change when they arrive .
In fact the second lights have a loop in the road which detects your wheels and changes accordingly so the opposite set of lights gets to stay green if no traffic enters the box from the first lights.
So, you time nothing, sorry but you are just a thick tw4t that has prevented the other 15 or so cars behind you from entering the box between the two sets of lights and benefiting from the next green light, behind you is a metal snail of cars and someone brave enough to point out the stupidity of light crawling with the horn.:mad::mad::mad:
You sound like more of a menace with your aggressive driving more than anything.0 -

But wouldn't it be damn amusing? :rotfl:
I agree, but not for the person doing the karate chop. Have you ever seen an airbag go off? They inflate and deflate within 1/50th of a second. This would most likely to lead to a broken wrist/hand, and a smashed up face.0 -

Taken into A&E with your broken thumb firmly stuck up your nose... That'll take some explaining...Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

A horn is used too aggressively in this country and people take such an offence to it (both sides need to relax). In Italy we use a lot more, to warn, as a sign of annoyance, to say hello etc and its fine. I think here people are too highly strung when it comes to horns!!0
