Mighty Deals issue

I purchased the shell card deal from Mighty Deals (MD) and received that pretty quickly so thought they must be alright so I purchased another deal soon after.

I claimed the voucher a couple of days later and paid the extras for delivery with the retailer. After 7 working days had passed I thought I'd chase it with the retailer as I'd not even received a dispatch email but the number on their site wasn't connecting so I emailed them. No response after a day so I called MD and they said they'd investigate and let me know (this was Thursday).

As of today, 10 clear working days later and passed the stated delivery times in their terms I went to the retailer's website only to see they removed the telephone number and email address and only left a contact form so I called MD again and they said they'd investigate and get in touch...AGAIN!

I feel like I've lost my money but I'm sure there must be some rights and my contract must still be with MD as I've not received anything?

Any advice?

This situation is far from resolved.

I was told the item would be shipped by special delivery on the day I spoke with MD and it was shipped 2 days later and it still hasn't arrived.

On top of that the retailer has lied to Mighty Deals and myself claiming they did ship the item before through MyHermes but the courier normally send an email with a tracking number (as I found out recently) which was not received and I then received a Myhermes tracking reference dated 14th June despite the fact it was promised to go by Royal Mail

I've now been waiting almost 3 weeks for my order and I am away on my honeymoon tomorrow for 2 weeks so it might end up being sent back to the retailer as it can't be collected.

This has been a highly negative experience for me although I appreciate MD cannot have complete control over their partnered retailers.

The retailer in question is Millprice

To give credit where credit is due, Mighty Deals resolved the situation amicably for me and while this situation wasn't ideal I don't want it to tarnish their reputation as it was a retailer issue.

My advice is conduct your own due diligence on a retailer when using any Group buying site.
