I did book a holiday package over £4k with them and not just flights so not sure if that made a difference.

Did you realise the error immediately and ring them?

If so, that may be why you weren't charged but the OP was.
Don't know the timeline to the OP's situation but he/she does say the error was noticed when they were printing boarding passes.

Jet2 make more, pro rata than any other European airline, from extras over and above the flight ticket. Aprox 29% of income comes from extras over and above the initial fare. Higher than both Ryanair and Easyjet.

I do not have problems with them now, I avoid them, it's the best way. Their bad practices reported on here must loose them lots of bookings.
