Phones4u is turning down the pay as you go order
Options
This has happened for the second time in a month.
The first order I placed was about 3 weeks ago and it was Nokia 2652 for 19.99 pounds.Seven days later I received an email from them saying the phone is not in the stock, so the order can not be processed. However, when I placed the order, 'it was in stock'.The strange thing is that my wife placed order for the same phone after me and she has received her phone from Phones4 u.
I placed another Pay as you go order on Orange from Phones4u on 26th of May.Having heard nothing from them after 48 , I emailed them today requesting them to let me know what is happening with my order.A few hours after I received the following email
Dear Sir /Madam,
Thank you for placing your order with Phones 4u. We regret to inform you that your contract/Pre Pay order has been unsuccessful on this occasion; this may be due to one of the following reasons:
1) Your card company were unable to verify and authorise your details
2) If you are a pre pay customer, then you may have reached your maximum allowance
We are unable to confirm the exact reasons for why your card issuer is unable to verify your details. We recommend that you contact your card company directly to obtain further information.
If you have any questions relating to your order, please refer to our Help Section on the website; this can be found on the top of the website or by copying the link listed below and pasting it into your Internet browser.

This time my order was for Mororola V220 Orange Pay as You Go and it was in stock when I ordered.
Regarding the Credit card, I am 100% sure, there is no problem.I do not have any credit problem at all.I have a decent income with a mortgage and three contract phones (1 3G and 2 O2 line rental).
What might be the second problem then?I have crossed the pay as you go allowance? I do not have any pay as you go at the moment.
How many pay as you go you can order for?Every time I order for a Pay as you go, do they check my credit score? If it is the case, that will be disastrous because it would be marked in my credit report.I do not want a check in my credit score for a phone worth 20 pounds.
I am just worried about placing another pay as you go order with Phones 4 u.By the way 1 O2 line rental phone I am using now is from Phones 4 u.
Any advice please?
Thanks in advance.

Sometimes some cards just play up.
If you've got more than 1 debit card try on of those - the one with the lowest risk i.e. the one with the lowest amount of cash (say less than £100) so if anything goes wrong you know you're (millions of) dollars are safe.0 -
Hi there,
I've had same problem, I'd ordered 3 payg phones and when I ordered the 4th I got the same email.
I phoned them and was told that I may only order 3 payg in any 30 day period. I'm trying to find out if there's a way round this, anyone else know?0 -
I phoned them today asking for clarification of why the order is cancelled.
In a nutshell what they told me is-
"If you place an order and no matter whether your order was successful or not , this order would stay in our system for 60 days and you can not place another order for pay as you go phone withing this 60 days!!"
Have you ever heard of this strange thing??0 -
