FREE sky TV and o2 broadband for a year for O2 customers

Sky are offering free TV and Broadband for a year for O2 Broadband customers in advance of the switchover of their service to Sky. It's the Entertainment Extra+ service with 48 HD channels etc, plus their Broadband unlimited package. You have to pay for Sky line rental instead of O2 line rental, which may work out worse for some, but it does include free caller display which O2 doesn't. It has a worse off-peak period. They claim the package you get for free is worth £468.

The offer runs to the end of June - they are sending out mailers with offer codes, but you may be able to call them up with knowledge of the offer in advance of this.

It doesn't seem to matter how much of your existing contract remains - I renewed recently to take advantage of another offer they were making, and was still offered this one.

FOR O2 BROADBAND CUSTOMERS ONLY.

so if you are a existing O2 broadband customer , call them now :-)

  • This deal may be pretty fine.
It may need more debate as to who can get it and who can not?

As they are taking over O2, I have heard they are offering this to pretty much everyone :-)

I was with o2 but jumped to PlusNet with a half price deal and cash back offer a few weeks back. I hate sky with a passion and free view and freesat is sufficient for us. We got a letter with a special code and when I entered it they were offering free unlimited bb, entertainments plus tv pack and free weekend calls but line rental and calls anytime to pay at £19.50 total.
Mum however whose been a customer for almost 10 years was only offered a 20 % discount on tv when she threatened to leave, even though they had the opportunity to tempt her with a deal to move her bb and phone over to them.

I got offered this when i said i was sticking with o2 for homephone and broadband. They then tried to pricematch a deal of £100 off my bill, as o2 had offered £100 towards my mobile bill - but as i want to go on PAYG, o2 worked out better, so i declined. I still managed to go with Sky for just tv and got six months half price and free broadband for a year off o2. I wouldn't want to be tied into Sky, so happy just to have the TV for now. Will re-evaluate when the time comes for my twelve months free broadband to run out with o2.
