    Hi Guys

Always glad to see people taking an interest in matched betting.

I'm going to ask Nearlyrich to move this thread over to the Gambling Introductory Loopholes Board so that you can benefit from its collective wisdom. If you want to keep this or a new thread as a kind of support thread where you are helping each other then thats fine, and if you want to do a challenge then I might even ask if I can join in with you ;)

There is an absolutely massive Introductory Guide as a sticky. I can't apologise for its size - it is huge but it contains everything you need to get cracking. Then we have a newcomer thread where you can ask any questions that you have.

Some points I would like to make:

It does take time to understand - dont expect to take it all in at once. It took me three months of dipping in and out of it to understand it. Print out the guide and take it a step at a time.

It does involve using your own cash - so make sure you are happy with what you are doing before starting. Because if you do get it wrong then it can be expensive.

The first few times you scour the board you wont have a clue what anything means - it really does look like its a foreign language at first. But you soon get used to the lingo.

I hope to see you a few boards down soon :D

    Let me know.
    Kind regards

Sounds good to me, just let us know where we're going....

Can I say I don't personally think having a seperate thread going on here is necessarily a good thing! :undecided

My worry is that there isn't a large enough group of people who know what they are doing to help in case things go wrong if people use this place as opposed to the newbie thread on the GL board!

I'm all for promoting matched betting as people on this board could benefit more than most. I'm just worried about the consequences.

Don't be afraid to post on the beginners thread. The people who help there are just as nice as those who post on DFW. There is no such thing as a stupid question and people will do all they can to help. :)

Hi SS, thanks for your post, wasn't really an intention to create a different thread to ignore existing one, more a supporty chatty network for me, blackangel, sarahneedle and a couple of others to chat about our successes or otherwise on matched betting taking into account all the advice any one can give on the other boards. D0n't want to P anyone off by starting a new thread if it's not wanted, just thought it may be a bit of fun for people to have a natter on :-(

Right ok, heres the plan then one and all.

    1) wait for the post to be moved to gambling introductory loopholes board where we find a nice home, complete with 18th century beams, inglenook fireplace and a fully stocked wine cellar waiting for us.(pink fizz for BA, EJ Gallo rose for me....:D

    2) We fully utilise the advice wisdom and knowledge of the info on said boards from the profeesionals who have a lot of advice and help to give to hopefully get some idea what we are doing and feed back any handy hints to the thread!

    3) we try and (hopefully not fail) and try again, bouncing ideas, good bets and understanding around between us all

    4) once we understand what we are doing and are proficiently making money (as opposed to proficiently loosing it) then we'll set up a matched betting challenge and see who comes out on top!
    5) WE GET TO BE DFW QUICKLY!!!! YAY!!!:T

However in the meantime we can use the board for discussion or generally a bit of fun but  PLEASE PLEASE REMEMBER THERE IS A CHANCE YOU CAN LOOSE! DON'T LOOSE MONEY YOU CAN'T AFFORD TO!

Happy mbing guys and hope everyone is ok with this.

Totally agree with SS the beginers thread on the Gambling Introductory Board is a wealth of information and help. They are really helpful people and will help you, providing u have done the groundwork on reading up on how matched betting works :)

I can fully vouch for this cos it took me nearly 5 months dipping in and out like Jessicamb to lean matched betting and theres no better place than the two threads that jessicamb has linked to :)
