Army house: TV/broadband/phone with no contract

I'm moving into my first Army house but we're only going to be there for 5 months before moving.
We want to get a TV/broadband/phone line package that we can either transfer to our new address when we move after 5 months OR is on a one monthly rolling contract.
Any ideas?

No chance! The minimum fee is there for a reason - to recover the costs of installation and provision which is often discounted or free. Most companies will offer a short-term service, but this is the exception not the rule, so you need to establish that you need a 6 month minimum term at the outset, not 12/18.
Expect to pay at least 25% more, but BT do offer service as short as 1 month, but charge as if it was 6!0 -
Just go with anyone - why wouldn't you be able to move house just like anyone else?0

Because a minimum term for service means exactly that? If you are unable to accept ongoing service at a new address, you pay the minimum regardless.0

Because all the companies I've looked at (Sky/Virgin/Talk Talk etc) have 12 month minimum contracts. If you move house before the end of that period you are breaking contract and have to pay the full 12 monthly fees despite only using it for 5 months0 -
I'm sure I've read on here that people have had the cancellation charges waived provided they've taken out a new contract at their new address.
Unfortunately no good to you unless you will be able to take out a full contract at your new address & the provider you choose now is also available in your next location. (If you know where you'll be moving to you may be able to check)0
