I'm sorry, I have absolutely no idea, especially with you being from NI - I think that the rules differ from England.
AFAIK you need to contact your local Education & Libraries Board - they administer student loans on behalf of the SLC for NI I believe. They should, in any case, be able to advise you.
Sorry I can't be of more help, maybe someone who knows more than me will come along soon.

Am pretty sure you will be ok. I imagine that your previous funding would not have been provided by the SLC.
Let us know what you find out xGone ... or have I?0 -
That funding was a part-time grant and will be taken into consideration when calculating your student funding.
However it only counts as 50% of one year's funding. The entitlement to funding calculation is:
Number of years of course (3) + 1 (spare!) - Previous study (0.5) = 3.5 years
So as long as you manage to finish your course in 3.5 years, you should get full funding throughout.
(OR 4.5 years if you are doing a four year course)0 -
Not necessarily Shivster,
I studied by distance learning, and my grant was provided by the university, and therefore had no bearing on any future funding.Gone ... or have I?0 -
Students of the OU apply for funding through the University but the funding comes from the LEA, hence it is considered 'Previous study' under the Student Support Regulations and will impact on funding.0
