You could potentially 'self fund' the accounts too, if that's preferable, i.e. either:
Sant 1&2 to Bank a and back
Or
Sant 1 to Bank a
Bank a to Sant 2
Sant 2 to Bank a
Bank a back to Sant 10 -
Thanks for the clarifications; so external funds, but can move back out in seconds after receipt?0

As at today's date, per MSE:

"Santander has confirmed that you can open two of its 123 Accounts* - but only two. "0 -
Yes, it's been on their website for several months. Always best to consult the provider's website for matters concerning terms and conditions

Reviving an old thread to say that this has now changed: my husband and I have two joint accounts with Santander, one of which was already a 123 and the other an Everyday Current Account. We've just applied to switch the Everyday one to a 123 and were declined because we already held one 123 account.sparkyspark wrote: »You can have your name on up-to five 123 accounts, meaning five joint accounts or five individual accounts each for yourself and wife giving a total of ten for you and your partner if you wish, providing you can meet the required criteria.
Further investigation indicates that the only way you have two 123 accounts is if one is in your sole name and the other is joint - see bold type about half way down the grey box on this page (same link as in previous post).0 -
Just try it and see. What have you got to lose apart from one month at 2.9% (3% minus £2 fee assuming 20k in account = £48 )0

Its actually at the bottom of the page when you click link more details at the top0 -
You used to be able to have 3 individual, since it has been reduced to 1 + 1, has anybody actually tried opening another?0

Under the 'new' (now quite old) rules, 2 people can apply for a max of 3 accounts between them - one sole each, and one joint.
Existing accounts will be taken into account when you apply, as lynneinjapan experienced.0
