This has happened to me in Asda and Morrisons on more than one occasion - we have an Asda "Local" near us which is handy but the staff are all local and know everyone who shops there. The result is that they get so engrossed in chatting and gossiping to friends and relatives they are checking out or spotting coming into the store, they are distracted and over a 3 week period I was overcharged five times.... didn't know about the £2 gift card though. Thanks for the advice.
