Hello everyone! Wow arent we a bunch of early birds.

Have been off the thread recently as Ive been a massive stress ball and feel totally overwhelmed by everything I need to do before I move. I cant even make a list without getting stressed out. I need to get back into it and on top of things so daily threads are a huge help.

    Nettie thanks for starting us.
DNMS enjoy the lecture, aren't you cultured
    Best of luck, Josie!
    Well done on housework, Zigs.

    Today I:
    - Went to driving school before work and paid for everything, taking first lesson this afternoon at lunch time! Eek! I need this as I will have to be able to drive from day 1 in PNG, no bikes allowed there. Time is very short as i need it processed and everything before I leave.
    - Work super hard today as loads on, and on lots of deadlines which is a rather rubbish way to spend my last few weeks at work
    - go out to dinner with friend visiting from NBI, which isn't very MSE but she is giving me keys to a friends house that we are staying in when we visit next week and some money I stupidly left last time I was there
    - Muck around with some numbers for next week's trip
    - submit formal leave request for next week
    - get papers for my bike sorted and harass my very incompetent fixer
    - call and make an appointment on for all the medical exams I need (including chest X rays and HIV test) for my visa application
    - Sort out what is happening with OH's health insurance - new job will pay for it from September but I need to work out what needs to be paid now
    - gym after work and before dinner
    - Sort out flights and safari payment for next week's trip
    - make lists for the rest of the week

    Hugs to all!

Good morning everyone. After much consideration I have decided to do a list of 20 things for each day rather than stressing myself. I will see how this works out until I've at least had the baby (7.5 months now, where has the time gone)

Nattie - Thanks for starting the thread off this morning.

    My list for today:
    1. [STRIKE]Quick shower and get the kids dressed[/STRIKE]

    3. [STRIKE]School/Childcare runs[/STRIKE]
    4. [STRIKE]Work 9-12[/STRIKE]
    5. [STRIKE]Print paperwork and update company accounts[/STRIKE]
    6. [STRIKE]Look for freelance work[/STRIKE]
    7. [STRIKE]Complete surveys[/STRIKE]
    8. [STRIKE]Check Postcode lottery and Birthday bingo[/STRIKE]
    9. [STRIKE]Sort Avon paperwork[/STRIKE]
    10. [STRIKE]Put Avon books out[/STRIKE]

    17. Sort lunches, bags and clothes for Wednesday
    18. [STRIKE]All meals from stores, although I will need to get some naan breads[/STRIKE]
    19. Plant some seeds and water plants
    20. [STRIKE]Sort list of 20 jobs for Wednesday[/STRIKE]

    Hi all,
Not a bad day today. So far, I have:
*Done laundry overnight on Economy 7 (30 degrees & stingy powder)
*Line drying......or rather it was....just had to whizz it in cos of rain, naturally now it's sunny again, so it'll be going back out there in a min).
*Listening to free audio download of a novel which I forgot I'd got.
*Surveys....in fact, so many today on Toluna that I've given up as it's eating too much into my sewing time. Onepoll just gone over £35......it's slow, but it's real money, & quicker than Yougov.....as would be the total circumnavigation of the globe by a small snail!!
*Watered all veggies & checked for problems.
*Cut more bunches of herbs now hanging from kitchen beam to dry.
*Cut another nice lettuce for a salad tonight.
*Economy dinner later....jacket potatoes.....mr f says he fancies cheese & beans, so that's a quick one, & I'm going to see what needs using & do salad with it.
*Back on the diet after a significant blip over the long festival weekend (actually, it's be more honest to say I've had almost a fortnight off & am avoiding the scales till the end of next week!)
*Earthed up mr f's potatoes as supposed to get bigger crop.....(Please no blight this year....trying a blight resistant variety after last year's rot-fest)
*Fed summer patio containers with free plant food (worm tea from our worm composter)
*Froze leftover lentil roast & onion gravy from last night as enough for another meal.
    Still not done:
*Sort out budgets after festival spending. I have slightly got my head in the sand on this as it was on yesterday's list too. I WILL do it this week.
*See if the dreaded ebay parcel problem will sort itself out today.
*Carry on sewing new door curtain for soon to be re-decorated hall from the bargainmongous fabric I bought the other week.
Think that's everything, so out I go with the washing again......to be fair, if a moist cat had not suddenly presented himself, I wouldn't have even noticed it was raining!
Have a good day, everyone.......for anyone feeling a bit low, it happens to everyone at some time, best way of dealing with it is not to beat ourselves up & to keep saying 'This too will pass' & eventually it starts to lift.
    Cheers,
    forxgloves x

    Afternoon,

Hello everyone! Thanks for the starter nattiecake.

    Not much today:

    :) Jobseeking.

:) Spent whole morning filling out an important form which arrived so late I will have to make a 20 mile round trip to deliver it to Jobcentre before close of business today. Flippin' bureaucracy! I wouldn't have needed to do this if they hadn't messed up an earlier form I completed for them. This to to do with a whole random question on a form:

Jobcentre: "Did you do A or B?"
    Me: "I did C."
Jobcentre: "You can only have done either A or B, there is no C. Was what you did closer to A or B?"
Me: "It wasn't closer to A or B, it was totally different. I did C."
Jobcentre: "You can only have done either A or B, there is no C. Was what you did closer to A or B?"
And so on! I feel like I'm in a Monty Python sketch.

More later if I have time.

    Hi Everyone

Josie - Really hope you exchange today, how exciting!

So me today, feeling MUCH better now the white wine has left the system :)

    1) Up earlyish, packed away all washing from day before.
    2) Tidyed DS's clothes cupboard. Bless him, he is independent for a 4 yr old, but every few days his cupboard looks like its been ransacked.
    3) Planned tonights dinner. We have some stale tortilla wraps in the fridge so going to do Enchiladas http://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/enchiladas/
    4) Trip to Lidl, first proper shop in at least a fortnight. Managed to get a lot of food for £50, certainly enough for another fortnight. Was out of Cat food so got a huge sack for £4, stocked up on tins, multibags of crisps, lots of meat. Anyone looking for bargains, they have 2 packs of 4 scotch beef burgers for £5, excellent value. I also got 2 Aubergines at a stunning 40p per unit, that is a huge saving as they can retail at 99p each. Likewise a huge Butternut squash for only £1. So the fridge is looking happy again.
    5) DS has his swimming lesson later, all prepaid, but will pack snacks for afterwards (saving a couple of pounds on vending machine temptations)

Think thats it for me. Its nice to have these 2 days off. I feel like the house is cleanish, tidyish, and we will know what we have to eat for the next week at least. Good times.

    Bob

Perni I hope you're ok love. I wonder if its the midway blues you're suffering from? I know I & others suffered from it at around the halfway point. You've done so well though lovely. How's that holiday looking?

More than likely, I just feel like progression is so slow right now despite having so few treats, & I think the fact we have decided not to do any festivals this year as we can't afford to is a big factor. The one I really want to go to is this weekend & the weather is looking good, when we went last year it was a mudbath so I'm a bit annoyed & sad but I just need to remember it'll be worth it next year when we're debt free. The holiday is on hold as I can't find anything cheap enough & am not prepared to spend more! I think we may just be booking a night by the seaside or Warwickshire at this rate but it should still be nice.

I used to work as a Steward at festivals. A couple of hours work each day in return for free entry and, often, food vouchers.

    Just a thought.
