Tuesday 11th June - what DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym.

But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.

Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending .

So be proud of those small steps, they really are important
:money:

Writing it tonight so I can just crack on in the morning :D

[STRIKE]Check CC online - waiting for payment to go through from last week!
Check online banking[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Bake a loaf of bread
Meals from stores
Quick tidy and sweep
Dishes to do
Surprise meal out of freezer to defrost for DH to take to work
Take DS1 to nursery
Read at least one chapter of OU work[/STRIKE]
Put together new money spreadsheet
New study plan
[STRIKE]Pick up DS2 from nursery
Cook tea. Veggie curry perhaps?- had fish, veg mash and parsley sauce[/STRIKE]
Chop celery in fridge to freeze
At least five things on ebay (DH may actually do this)

Now to hope I actually feel as "in the zone" in the morning as I do now, lol!

My DFW thing today was to take advantage of the Tesco Toy Sale and voucher exchange to get a present for my nephew. Original price- £33.97 reduce to £15.00. Exchanged one £5 voucher for £10 of double vouchers added another voucher to make up cost. Cost to me £10 of vouchers. Cost in cash - £0. Picking it up later in the week. :-)
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

My DFW things that I will do today are
    1) Cycle to work
    2) Wash some clothes that I can then sell on ebay
    3) Contact cash for clothes to pick up several bags of clothes.
    4) Take a box of CD's and DVD's to a music magpie pick up location (Strictly that will be my OH)
    6) Take a pack up to work for tea.
    7) Have a NSD (Don't know whether I can achieve this as will probably need some cat food. But when was sorting out clothes found £3 so is extra money RESULT!!!)
    GOOD LUCK EVERYONE :)

Woah this is a bit odd, not sure how I feel about the thread being started the night before?! We are sticklers for routine here...hence our repetetive lists etc....!

Hopefully today is exchange day :D

    This is me:
    - Checked banking, up to date
    - Packed lunch
    - Post nan's b'day card and tax credits update, I don't get any but still have to fill out the bl00dy form every year
    - OH to transfer house deposit/solicitors fees at lunch time, £38k!
    - "Staff meeting" after work at Harvester, boss pays
    - OH to collect DD from nursery due to above
    - NSD
    - Put Mr T's coupon in purse with debit card so it doesn't get forgotten when I go shopping! Not til Saturday but being prepared!

    Jx
Nothing to report as yet...give me a minute...!
