Huh?
Our hive was decimated by wasps a couple of years ago.:(0 -
They are most probably masonry bees as other bees that live in holes require more space. They can actually damage the mortar as they dig it out to form more space IF it is old and decayed already. Otherwise they will just live in a cavity and not dig out more room. Although they are "solitary", bees from the last years brood may colonise together if there isn't any other viable nest areas. Solitary just means that they don't interact with the other bees rather than being only one bee on its own. They will only cause real damage if the mortar is soft and decaying already, I personally leave the bees in one wall of my house alone as they live in a cavity and the mortar is otherwise sound.
If they have some yellow on them probably masonry bees, if all brown and waspy shaped probably honey bees which we need to look after but you could end up with 1000 of them in a colony if they can make their way through the wall to a larger space. They won't do any harm though and won't sting unless provoked. I would avoid a swarm though
