Can anyone recommend a mobile phone under £30? I don't need anything fancy like facebook or a camera but I'd like one that beeps when I have an email :o

Push e-mail is nothing but fancy buzzword.
Classic non-push e-mail client set to check for e-mails every 10-15 minutes in real life has almost the same user experience and MUCH better battery life.

Actually push email is supposed to be better for battery life. It's always got a connection open, where as polling the server means it's got to open a connection, authenticate, check check for mail then close the connection every so often.
