Well that's it, we're married!
The day went in slow motion, so many people say if you blink you miss it, but it was the absolute opposite for me. We woke about half 8 and when I looked at my phone my MOH had text at 6am saying she couldn't sleep with excitement and would I get up - poor woman had to wait 2.5 hours for me!
Was lovely waking up with OH and being able to say - we get married today!
Met my brother in the local cafe for breakfast before getting our hair done and heading off to the hotel.
It seemed to take forever for it to be 4pm, we had lunch in the hotel with friends and started to get ready, but it seemed we were all just mucking about for a day out - not getting ready for my wedding :rotfl:
The ceremony was lovely - my OH had spoken to the registrar a few days earlier and said I loved Friends and could she change our vows to the ones Joey wrote for Monica and Chandler. So she started the speech (about having and receiving, and loving an giving....) and then everyone started chuckling and I really didn't know what was happening, until she was nearly at the end..... was very very funny.
The weather was truly amazing and we were able to get our game of tug-o-war on the beech - with the girls won (although OH says he let us....).
Our game of Mr & Mrs was my highlight. Everyone joined in with us and we managed 14 matches and 4 non-matches so I didn't think we did too badly.
Back at the hotel we knocked up the night porter and all stayed in the bar until around 3am when I called it a night.
I know a lot of you on here say how you would like to do it all again, but I don't feel that way thankfully. Don't get me wrong I loved the day from start to finish but we ended up married and that's all I ever wanted, the fact we laughed our way through it and created some amazing memories is all a bonus. I'm pleased I don't feel sad it's over or anything like that, just so so excited I am now his wife!
My OH's friends took over 1200 photos which we have and love, so my next project is to make our photo albums, I've been recommended Blurb but I haven't looked into it fully yet. Anyway, here's a snapshot of a small few, hope you enjoy them and Good Luck to everyone who has their wedding yet to come. You all know me by now, my advice would be to relax, go with the flow, if !!!!!! happens who cares, you end up married and that's what it's all about.
