How does it work when the item sells for lower value?

I bought an item with no reserve for about 8th of what it is worth.
I have paid for the item but get the feeling I am not going to get the item at that price.
Where do I stand please?

No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Allowing for the fact that you will have checked the sellers feedback and other items sold before you bid/bought this, you have to give the seller a chance to send it to you.
Make a note of his stated dispatch time, and work out when you could feasibly expect to receive it, and wait until then. If seller marks as dispatched when he sends it, you'll get an email to advise.
If it's not there in a reasonable time then by all means ask the seller where it is, nicely.
The response will dictate your next move.

Yes over 1000 positive feedback. I am just wondering whether they are obliged to send it even though it's sold for under value. No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Yes, of course they are obliged to send it. You have entered into a contract with them and by paying, you have fulfilled your side of the bargain.
That's the joy of ebay, isn't it - the chance to get an amazing bargain. Well done!0 -
Unfortunately the majority of ebay sellers are far too tight to use reasonable starting prices or reserve prices so it's a bit of a crap shoot as to whether you'll receive it or not. Kinda depends on how honest the seller is and even if they know the true value of the item. I've bought enough bargains to know some sellers will just swallow the loss and move on, others will ignore every message you send them and use any excuse to avoid sending it. Not much you can do at the end of the day except see how it pans out.
You'll get the usual crowd advising you to take them to court for breach of contract etc but tbh unless it's of a really worthwhile value it won't be worth your effort.0 -
Yeah he messaged me to say he is not selling it at a low price, I don't get why he advertised it at that price if that is the case. What is my next step? I guess I can't force him to post it to me!!No you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

With feedback of over 1000 he should know better !!
Pay for the item then if he refuses to send, report him, and leave negative feedback and appropriate low stars. You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

I agree I can get the item elsewhere but it will be much more. I have already paid so I was going to reply that he shouldn't have listed it at a low price if he didn't want to sell it at that and I want a refundNo you're not a vegetarian if you eat any animal or fish, so do not insult genuine veggies by calling yourself one!

Don't ask for a refund. Be adamant that you won the item and expect him to send it.You're only young once, but you can be immature forever
