As above the technology is too new to be viable at the moment, plus what I have seen they are expensive as most need you to lease the batteries as well.
Whatever you do, DO NOT buy one of these:
I saw one crash in Camden, and lets just say I think they skipped any crash tests.
They didn't skip the crash tests. I believe that the GWiz is classed as a quadracycle or something, not a car and therefore is not subject to car crash testing. One by one the penguins are slowly stealing my sanity.0 -

If you are looking to replace your car, and are confident you only need a limited range then something like : http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201304176317572/sort/default/usedcars/fuel-type/electric/onesearchad/used/onesearchad/nearlynew/onesearchad/new/page/4/postcode/co49th/radius/1500?logcode=pI am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. 2 owners and only 1564 miles. I wonder how often they got fed up of not being able to go anywhere because the batteries wouldnt last long enough to get there and back?
Or maybe the journey home on the back of a recovery truck doesnt bode well for your green credentials?
I thought these were lease only?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -

Multiple owners seem common on electric cars, I think people buy with their "green" heads on, then quickly realise the cars are too much of a compromise, particularly when you arrive home late on a freezing cold wet, windy night, then have to faff around recharging.
I think initially they were lease only, then were sold with a list price of £25k +!!!I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Don't forget that using a heater or air conditioner will drastically reduce the range of any electric car.I used to think that good grammar is important, but now I know that good wine is importanter.0
