Hello,
I have just bought a samsung s4 but i'm too scared to take it out of the house as I havent sorted out insurance yet. all the ones i've looked at don't allow claims in the first month/2 weeks so i cant take the phone put for ages!
are there any insurers that offer instant cover? i bought the phone for cash off a colleague if that helps. I don't have home insurance or a bank account that includes it.
thanks!

Nope... All that I know of don't allow claims for at least 14 days...
The reason? So people don't only take our insurance after they have damaged their phone, having to wait to make a claim will generally put people off buying insurance after a loss / theft / damage occurs.
Not taking it out is a little ott if you as me, how many phones have you lost, had stolen or damaged to think this way?0 -
You are scared to take a second hand phone outside in case you lose it.
Are you seriousOwing on CC £00.00 :j

Before buying insurance you should really check if you would be able to claim anyway for a second hand phone as you won't have an official retailer invoice if asked for.
You must be really clumsy or forgetful if you are so worried.
I have had mobiles since they first appeared and never damaged or lost one and in a lot of instances stolen mobiles are not covered.0 -
The sooner u insure it the sooner it will be covered.0

Insurance2Go?
Immediate cover (our insurance starts on the day you sign up)*
* Some of our competitors don’t cover claims made within the first 14 days of a policy going live
Haven't read the smallprint, no idea if they're any good, was just looking via MSE's phone insurance page and they make a big selling point of it.0
