Someone hit my car in a car park :(

Er, if you do you set in motion a train of events that may ultimately leave you paying dearly for something that was not your fault.
As this happened on private property, the police will not assist. The DVLA will, however, provide you with the Registered Keeper of the VRM you supply - only then will you know if you've been set up.
A supermarket car park is not private property.
The police would be interested. The car park will still be covered by normal traffic laws as public have access. By law he and you should report the accident to the police within 24 hours.
But as said above if you get your insurance involved it will be costly. 5 years of increased premiums for a start.0
