I came off the pill last year and my periods were a nightmare. My Dr put me back on it after 6 months, only for his nurse to take me back off it...

Her reasoning was that it can take up to, and over 18 months for periods to regulate after coming off the pill. She said I could be regular as clockwork for the next 9 months and then it may all go a bit "Ski wiff" for a few months.

If your worried about the cost of a pregnancy test you can buy a pack of 3 from Poundland. If your worried about their accuracy do all 3!!! Alternatively you could try a charity based place like a well woman clinic and they do it for free.

For the last few months my periods have been getting later by a few days. I put it down to the stress of buying and selling houses. Now we have moved I hope it will settle again.

Getting back to OP. You could be late because you haven't ovulated at all this month. I have had it happen to me a couple of times. If you don't get a period next month see your GP about it. They can do blood tests to see if you are ovulating.
Pregnancy tests aren't that expensive these days. I get mine for £1 from Savers. If you don't trust them they do Predictors, pack of 2 for under £5.

Are you stressed? that can cause a delay. Or if you're dieting too much/not eating properly for whatever reason.

My friend went on a herbal shake diet, and her periods stopped completely:eek:

But would I still be having the PMS symptoms (sore boobs, stomache ache, moody) if my periods had stopped or been delayed because of too much diet and exercise? Ive been 'due on any day now' for the past 3 weeks!!

I have always been very irregular. I can go several months without one. I do still get PMS symptoms sometimes but no period. I have non-identical twins so I think I must just not ovulate some months and then both ovaries fire off the next!!!

If you have just started a lot of exercising after not doing any, there is a good possibility it could be that.

Have you lost a lot of weight suddenly or significantly changed your diet?

As other posters have said stress can be a big factor.

I would do a pregnancy test just to be sure. You could make an appointment with the doctor/nurse to explain your concerns and get them to do a test at the same time.

I don't know about that, I'm afraid. Do you have a family planning clinic near you? They can offer tests for free:) Sounds like you need to put your mind at rest.

Hi, i came off the pill about 10 months ago now-they have been fairly regular (give or take a day), untill this month-i came on 4 days EARLY! lol. i've never been early before! stress, exercise etc does affect my cycle-even my diet can.

What are the chances you are pregnant-do you use condoms btw? is it highly likely you could be.....ie did a condom split or slip off etc?

    keely.

Chances of me having got pregnant are slim, always use condoms and no,there hasn't been any little 'accidents' so if I am I must be really really fertile!!! Oh, and also thereve only been about 3 0r 4 times this past 6 weeks anyway :o
Ive got a tesco shop being delivered tommorow morning so Ive added a preg test in with it..I'd rather find out asap so I can decide what to do about it. Im really hoping its gonna be negative as I just don't feel ready for another baby at the mo
