Off-topic I know, but Stagecoach now have notices saying you can't use these on their buses.0 -
I would not want to be sitting next someone smoking these so am pleased thay are not allowed. They are possibly better to smoke than tobacco for the smoker but the effects of the chemicals in e-cigarettes is not well known and they are unlikely to be risk free.
Several countries, France and Italy for example, are considering limiting their use in the same way as other cigarettes.0 -
just take a pack of Niquitin minis. They'll keep the cravings at bay until you land and can have a proper fag.0

From the research I have done, it is widely agreed that the 'smoke' (in reality, steam) that these produce is no more harmful than what you get from a mug of hot coffee. The reason France is banning them in public places is because they believe that people seeing others smoking an ecig, will encourage others to take up smoking, not because of any health concerns.
That said, if people do not know and understand ecigs, then yes, I can see why a non-smoker would not want to sit next to someone vaping one. I would hope that most vapers would check first with who ever they were sitting next to to make sure they are okay with it.“Quis custodiet ipsos custodes?”
