phones4u upgrade issue...please help

1 – Called T-mobile to give a one month notice to cancel my sim-only contract to PaynGo line.
2- Never been a customer with phones4u. I Called them and pre-ordered a Samsung s4 upgrade from phones4u – 24 month contract at 41 pounds a month. Received email confirmation that order went thru.
3- Three days later, I receive a phone call from phones4u saying that sim only contracts are not eligible for the upgrade and advised me to upgrade directly from T-mobile.
4- I called and requested a written confirmation that I will not receive the upgrade so I can order another tarriff elsewhere. In summary, part of their email reply was:
“Our partnerships with the networks are always under review however; we are currently not in a position to offer TMobile upgrades”
5- On the 25th april I ordered a new contract using Quidco to get the £150 cash back for the same Tarrif from phones4u. was under process
6- On the 26th April, I received the upgrade offer. I called phones4u immediately, I explained the reason why I ordered it online to receive quidco cashback. They apologized and offered me 50 pounds to my bank account as a gesture from them so they cancel my new order online and keep the upgrade – or cancel the upgrade. I accepted their offer.
7- Within 4 days I decided to cancel because I found better deals elsewhere. I called them, but they refused to cancel.
8- I called T-Mobile, who said to me I have legal rights to cancel within 14 days of receiving the upgrade, so they cancelled it and told me a cancellation packaging will be sent to me from T-mobile to return to phones4u – (for some reason I still haven’t received the packaging).
9- I received the cancellation packaging from phones4u! Even though I have accepted their offer.
10- I had a faulty handset so, I asked for an exchange from Phones4u and was sent an exchange packaging from them.
11- I sent back the faulty handset in the cancellation packaging and not in the exchange packaging – on purpose to see if they will cancel or exchange.
12- I received the handset, thinking I was still on the upgrade.
13- My number has now been changed from contract to Pay n Go from 6/6/2013.

In summary, T-Mobile offered me to cancel and I accepted it, while Phones4u did not accept it. Now I have a free handset and I have informed phones4u about it. They will call me back to resolve this issue. I am scared they might request to pay the full amount of the contract which is £41 x 24 months in one instalment, or request to send the handset back? Or put me back on the same upgrade again? Or keep the handset? …. Your advice is much much appreciated…

You aren't the only one, the OP needs to write a simple, more coherent account and they might get more answers/help.
