Uuuh. Virgin Media cable vs Zen adsl?

Trying to decide on ISP before moving at the end of the week - I like the many positive comments about Zen and have no problem 'paying for what I get', so looking hard at them... alternatively VMedia wouldn't require me to get a BT phone that I don't really need, and the VM packages allow lots of possible options around TV and V+ which I might potentially be interested in.

How do I decide? What are the basic pro's and cons of ADSL vs cable - needs a phoneline vs costs to install, or is there any bottom-line performance difference?

Wavering at the moment, and reading thinkbroadband forum comments about the 2...

VM cable is their jewel in the crown . Rock solid , I've never has so much as 1 mins downtime in the 2 years I've had it . No phoneline needed , just use your mobile or VOIP if you wanna make a call , but VM do bundles that include TV/BB/phone .
Best bet for you would to get a bundle and upgrade it . The 3 for £30 bundle includes XL TV at the min but apparently the offer ends 31/5/07 (may be extended ?) , this will get you the On-Demand services and allow you to upgrade to the V+ box if needed . I have the V+ box and its ace .
