I was a dark haired early developer too..... My last year in primary school... Our school trip was a day trip to the seaside..... Mortified that my 'crush' might see my leg hairs... Led me to try & copy what I'd seen my elder sister do.... Waxing... How was I to know she used the strips... I did it with masking tape!!:eek::rotfl::rotfl:

My mum too thought I was too young to need it despite it being clearly visible :(

Tell you what... I've had my legs waxed loads since then.... & I think I did a better job with the tape!!! I was very pleased with myself :rotfl::rotfl:

I shave, wax & have an epilator. I always go back to shaving... Specially on my legs. Waxing/epilating only last a week or so with me (my hair grows incredibly fast) so tbh shaving helps me keep on top of it. I use a Gillette Venus razor & use hair conditioner as its makes the razor glide very easily.

Op... I think I'd ask your daughter what method she wishes to try. It's quite a personal choice I think. Good luck whatever you decide.

Oh & ps: I always use soap & glory's daily smooth body butter on my legs after shaving. It's so moisturising it'll combat any 'damage' you think shaving will do to her skin & leave it feeling really nourished.

    Good luck with it, x

I think you should mention it to the school that your daughter's being teased and picked on by kids in her class because she's started puberty so young.

One of my friends started her periods when she was 8  and she was the only one who couldn't go swimming on certain days.

I don't think there is an easy answer to this one, but I would be inclined to tell the school that if the bitchy remarks and the bullying doesn't stop (she's 9 for heavens sake, she doesn't need that at her age) you'll refuse to let her take part in swimming at school. Put your foot down!
