Pubic hair in a nine year old

So my daughter has started to get hair under her arms on around her vulva. The hair in her legs is also getting darker and thicker. The arm pit hair is starting to really bother her as none of her friends have it and the boys tease her when they go swimming at school. She is begging to have it shaved but I hate the potential damage that could be done. Ie her cutting her self etc
I'm bit too sure what is the best thing to do has any one else been through this?

Could you not shave it for her?0

I was RELENTLESSLY bullied between 10-12 due to body hair.
I didn't shave at first, i actually waxed (non heat requiring type). I didn't find it painful.
I started using razors at 11/12, only ever cut myself on my ankle bone bit as it sticks out.0 -

I'm worried as it grows back worse, what u would like ideally is sugering but I'm not sure if anyone would do it in her at this age0 -

You need to let her shave, any minor cuts are a rite of passage and will do less damage than the physiological implications of being mercilessly teased, get her in the bathroom and teach her how to do it properly.I don't get nearly enough credit for not being a violent psychopath.0 -
Could you not get her one of the emery style hair removers? They are slipped over your hand and you move them in a circular motion gently "filling" the hair away. It's a bit like a very gentle sandpaper for want of a better description.
You can buy them very cheaply in most chemists and they can be used on almost any part of the body. Because there is no blade, there is no chance of cutting and you are not introducing nasty chemicals into a very delicate area. I should stress, she doesn't need to remove all the hair, just the "potential to show in a swimsuit" bits.
As someone who entered puberty at around 9/10 years of age, she has my sympathy poor lamb.Saving 1 animal wont change the world - but it will change the world for that 1 animal

It really doesn't.
But...
I have been using this.

Which might further reduce impact its worked brilliantly on my legs and underarms, the only places I have used it consistently. The only thing i's say is that it takes time in the morning initially and she'll need a really good cream deodorant, because it really seems to make deodorant less effective.
I'd certainly start teaching her to shave whilst also reassuring her that she's healthy and beautiful and how she chooses to manage her body hair is her choice..0 -
My dd uses nair. No risk of cuts or painful waxing.0

She has to learn sooner or later.. help her or do it for her.
Could she try the hair removal cream first? It can't be thick wiry granny hair just yet so the cream should work.
My girls used the cream first, then progressed to shaving.. I advised they shaved somewhere they could cover up first before they got to the bits people would see as it takes practice and they would cut themselves... wearing a sticky plaster on your leg is not the same as wearing one in your armpit!LB moment 10/06 Debt Free date 6/6/14Hope to be debt free until the day I dieMortgage-free Wannabee (05/08/30)6/6/14 £72,454.65 (5.65% int.)08/12/2023 £33602.00 (4.81% int.)0 -

yes, my daughter has inherited her dark hair from her Dad, and her hitting puberty early from me.
She's just turned 12, I've been shaving her underarms for a good 2 or 3 years now when she asks (it used to be every week when she was in dance class), and I have done her lower legs for her too. She can now do her legs herself, and she is starting to try shaving her underarms.
Help her by shaving her underarms because she's asking you to help. I never suggested anything to my daughter until she came to me because the hair was a problem for her.0 -
