Nobody expects urgent calls overnight, that's the problem. I'm not going to make myself uncontactable in an emergency just because some stupid company decides to randomly ring my number in the middle of the night.
To complain:

No calls for 36 hours, I'm guessing a rogue dialler has been sorted?
Here's hoping.
Cheers

I had one of these calls at 3.25 am the other day. Would you believe that
at 3.25pm the next day I had a silent call - obviously an automatic dialer. At 3.25pm the following day I had a sales call from Primus Telecom. In my opinion none of this is by way of coincidence. There is every chance that someone was setting up the autodialer for the telco and managed to get it 12 hours out. Needless to say I will not be taking any extra services from Primus at present.JD790 -
When I called back on BT, I just got the unobtainable tone but, when I dialled via 18185, I got a recording of a broad American-accented female saying, "Please enter your authorisation code" and then, "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again."
Eeeeeek! Did you get the 'call cost message' before that? As it may have been one of those premium rate con tricks.Instigated terrorism the road to dictatorship.0 -

In any case, 18185 doesn't carry premium rate calls.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I haven't had any of these call's but I keep getting international calls, its a call centre, they never leave a message, and I never answer them, just let the machine pick up the calls, although my ringer has a volumn button, which is turned down at all times so that we dont hear it up stair's, perfect night's sleep, just need to sort out the volumn on the seagulls, they are a pest at 4am in the morning,

The first digits (0207) show that it is a central London area code.....but the next digit being a 0 throws the London theory out the window  No London 3 digit exchange number starts with a 0
Call the BT operator and ask them?
The code for London is 020 and not 0207, 0208 or 0203.
The local part of the number is 7019 392
7 no longer means it has to be a Central London location, as the 7 is now part of the local number, it could easily be 3, 8 or any other number when range added, though admitted a lot of legacy remains.
Some London numbers were available that could only be dialled with the full London dailing code.
Try the number for the Speaking Clock: 020 7043 1320
If you live anywhere in London and you dial the local number 7043 1320 you will connect to the number.
If you incorrectly believe the dialling code is 0207 and then try and dial what you believe to be the local number 043 1320 you won't connect to the number as you have missed the 7 off the local number. It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc... It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0 -

It was an 020 number, so can only be charged at rates to 020 numbers, no wonder loads of people believe myths if people continue to pass the myth on.It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
