Telephone call at 5.30am

Options
I recieved a telephone call this morning at 5.30am. When I do 1471 it tells me the number was 02070193927, but when I ring it back the number doesn't exist! How can I find out who it was that rang me? I'm with Virgin for my phone if that makes a difference.

The first digits (0207) show that it is a central London area code.....but the next digit being a 0 throws the London theory out the window  No London 3 digit exchange number starts with a 0

Call the BT operator and ask them?

If it's important, they will call you back?

I tried google but no luck. Sorry
Ever wonder about those people who spend £2 apiece on those little bottles of Evian water? Try spelling Evian backward.

Don't know if it helps, but the following is from HERE

Oftel records show that numbers starting 020 7019 are allocated to MCI WorldCom Ltd. Note that due to number portability if an individual number has moved to a different operator this information is not publically available. Oftel's last recorded change for this number range was in November 2000.

Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

I've also had calls during early hours of the morning for the last couple of days, and another call again just a few minutes ago, so came to google the number and found this thread!

My number is ex-directory and also registered for TPS so no idea who this is or how they got hold of my number!!!

    Last 2 nights at 1.30am and 11.30pm.

If I find the !!!!ers responsibe they'll pay.

No joke to get woken at that time when you've a 16 month old and a 3 week old in the house.

    Cheers

I had another silent call from that same number this morning (Wednesday 30/5/07) at 10:37hrs.

    My number's TPS registered.

    020 7019 3927
    0207 019 3927
    02070193927

When I called back on BT, I just got the unobtainable tone but, when I dialled via 18185, I got a recording of a broad American-accented female saying, "Please enter your authorisation code" and then, "If you'd like to make a call, please hang up and try again."

Sorry to hear about your calls.

Unless you have a reason to expect urgent calls overnight, I suggest get a phone which you can turn off the ringer tone completely or mute it or muffle it Or move it to another unoccupied room.

    Or unplug it overnight.
