You can find all the information about stamp duty on the HMRC website.
You can do it yourself but not online- online filing is only available to professionals.
Is the property (after discount) above the stamp duty threshold? If she is buying a 3 bedroom house in Chelsea probably yes, but if it is something more modest she might only need to submit a form without actual payment the RTB relief code is 22.
If you google Stamp Duty and right to buy you can find all the info you need yourself.
I wish your daughter all the best luck with her house buying- she will need it after foregoing all the usual checks and own research into the process.0 -
Thanks for your posting Mokka. I am a total newbie and was dismayed at the politically motivated abuse and rants that Geriatric received none of which were relevant to his questions. It would seem to me that there is a core of individuals who will post what is simply rubbish and then "Thank" each other for the input. It all seems totally contrary to the rules. I will not give too much detail as I do not wish to receive the nonsense that Geriatric received but I will be using a solicitor and hoping to obtain a large motgage.
I am going on holiday but on return will refer this thread to the Management to take what action they consider necessary to the many time wasting postings..
