spent £20.33 in A!di today the DH decided he wanted fish & chips for tea so another £5 as well. Will get the rest of the fruit & veg tomorrow and then that's it as the month will be over. I did get two lots of the 69p onions today as well as mushrooms, oranges and potatoes so wont be needing these.
About a year ago our nearest outdoor market closed but recently one stall has been opened up on Fridays & Saturday selling fruit & veg by the bowl full so will nip up tomorrow and take a look.

Got lots of Ys fruit yesterday from Mr M - 55p cherriesx 2, 50p figs (as want to try them), 95p golden delicious x 2 and a bunch of £1 bananas. Also fizzy water and a YS loaf from C*-*p. Think that was all about £5.00 ...

I'm already over but have lost track of how much now. Going back to writing everything down in Sep incase I cant update on here.

I've just spent £8.68 after knocking off £3 with a Brand Match coupon. Compared to my usual, much reduced spend of around £200 it really doesnt sound too bad but it's for a month where we were all away for 2 weeks and my girls were away for another 10 so I can't help my mind straying to thinking it's a bit rubbish.

But then I think well it does include all toiletries and household stuff, not just food and I have stocked up on a fair few things for September.

I have developed some good habits though -- yet again I put a load of stuff back before I went through the checkout!

  • 28p in Mr T on 6 crusty rolls and 5 custard donuts - got to love those YS bargains! Also £4.30 at the chippy. Kitchen was finished at 6pm yesterday but after painting for a couple of hours it was a bit late to start cooking and paint was still wet!

Today was £14.72 in Mr A on a very frugal weekly shop and £20.50 in Mr T on some posh ready meals for our anniversary next week - cheaper than eating out twice anyway!

So under budget thankfully as it was a very generous budget this month due to kitchen re-fit. Now hoping to use up bits and bobs and not spend very much the next week and a half as then away on hols.....

See you over on Sept thread!

[Declaring at €170 , spent more but it came from a different budget, need to cut back lots as budget not working and have no idea how I can reduce costs.
