Evening all,
4th NSD, but will break my run tomorrow as I need to get milk, might leave it till sat, when I get some time to do an 'audit' in the kitchen and do a careful shop.
I have £65 in purse, DS2 (15) has a birthday party to go to tomorrow evening, so will use £10 for that as they all give a fiver towards pizzas and fiver for a pressie. So £55 left for the weekly shop and through the week.
I don,t think I need too much so hoping to stretch it through 2 weeks if I can
Pork chops new pots and sweetcorn for dinner with packet peppercorn sauce - was yummy.
Have a fab evening all xNote to self - STOP SPENDING MONEY !!

Hi everyone,
£19.11 in Sainsbobs today - got basics potatoes - they are really good and half the price of the rooster ones I normally buyHad a nice conversation with the lady on the checkout because I HAVE MANNERS AND REALISE THAT THEY ARE PEOPLE TOO AND NOT JUST MY SLAVES (sorry rant over
)
Also £12 in £land on a new dustpan and brush (dog has taken the other one into the garden and lord knows what's happened to it), polish, harp!c loo cleaner plus snacks/sweets for two DSs who are both away this weekend.
Dinner tonight was scampi bites, mini roasties and mange tout. I have also made the all in one apple cake from the index as I had 4 apples in the bowl which needed using up. It is LUSH
Tomorrow we will have A!di ambient filled pasta with fresh sauce as DH, DS2 are away to camp, so need something really quick and easy.
This weekend is just me and DD so we may well go out for dinner on Saturday or Sunday brunch. Still deciding
Have a good evening everyone.

Ooh, thanks for the tip! That makes sense. Do you know, I didn't realise you could get a slicer for home?I will definitely drop some serious hints round Christmas time.

Well NSD went out the window once i discovered the 2 little ones needed to take a bottle each into school tomorrow for tombola and i then realised I had run out of pop for myself! Doh! I don't drink hot drinks, or juice. I survive on diet pepsi or diet coke. Anyway, got 2 bottles at £1 each and a cheeky fudge for 20p. I really wanted the Dairy Milk Caramel but it was £1 and i'm trying to watch my waistline. Lol. Also managed to get 2 bottles of bubble bath on offer at 50p each, so that was £3.20p spent today.

Did some shopping on Tuesday, no food, just household bits (capsules for the washing machine, toilet cleaner, cream cleaner aka cif and rubber gloves) - the cat has fleas so I'm going a bit manic with cleaning the house at the moment! £3.39 spent.
And popped in again today as we needed milk (ours went lumpy even though it was still in date! _pale_), also picked up a few bananas and apples as OH is really going through them at the moment! £2.36 spent.
That brings the total so far to £35.71/£120.0 -

I just need to have freezer space to put bags of grated cheese in before I open it and process it with the added advantage of such strong cheese is that we use less of course (yeah, right...

Blowing a big raspberry at my efforts again today, spent another £21, this included a packet of sausages for 34p, a tray of about six little lamb chops for £1.29 and enough turkey breast to feed four, for 89p. All YS in Sains.
Still, looking on the bright side, I am still healthily under budget, I went back round the shop before going through the checkout and put about £10 of stuff back. I needed to get stuff for more main meals some time so have done so sooner rather than later.
I got £7.50 off my bill thanks to nectar points. Working my a*se off on pulling in money outside work so need to be kind to myself rather than thinking I'm already doing rubbish!
ETA: for anyone wondering how on earth to cut down costs from £100+ a week, just to add some more reassurance, I'm another one who has made massive savings, before I lost my husband, I was spending £120ish a week, and with the three of us, around £400/£450 a month so I've halved the cost, these days I can't get my head round it really. I think ready meals were a big factor, have kicked them into touch x0
