We only have one main socket - at the moment we have a line trailing right across the house like a trip wire, causing several injuries a month!0 -

That's the point of (cordless) DECT phones - one base station (plugged into the BT socket and the mains) and handsets wherever else within the house you want them. No trailing wires.TheWaltons wrote: »We only have one main socket - at the moment we have a line trailing right across the house like a trip wire, causing several injuries a month!Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. The full cost, including VAT is £166.33. £50 is the extension, the rest is the engineer call out charge.
