30 day notice on 3

Hi All

I'm after some clarification regarding the 3 networks 30 days notice. I'm considering purchasing a SIM only 30 day rolling contract. I'm after the unlimited date that allows tethering.

With there network problems of late, and mixed reviews of service i wanted to safeguard myself if i could with just paying 1 month to see if it suits me.

I plan to order it online, it says it will take 3 days. Will my contract start on the day i receive it or activate it?

Do i have to give my 30 days notice on the same day i receive the Sim. Would it make a difference if it was a day late.

Should i cancel the direct debit, and just pay the one payment via credit card over the phone.

Thanks all for reading.

Most likely it will start when they send it, but 1-2 days don't make much difference.

Formally, it can be any day and you will have to pay for the next 30 days.

Cancelling the DD makes no difference if cancellation is processed smoothly, but can result in a default reported to CRAs otherwise. It's better to keep it and if they charge you extra just dispute this and demand the money back.

    Thankyou for your reply.

I wont be cancelling the DD, it doesn't seem worth it at this point

The main thing is that i don't want to pay for Month 2 on this plan if it doesn't live up to what im after.

    Thankyou.
