Existing Orange customer moving to EE

Staff in an EE shop said that I could not take existing loyalty discounts with me from Orange to EE and I would be treated as a new customer. Made it a no brainer to stay with orange.
But tonight I found out on chat with orange customer service, info that is not available on either the Orange or EE website when you try to upgrade - if you speak to the customer adviser they can transfer your % discount to EE.
Which meant I was able to transfer a 20% discount :T:T
I know I will probably get people saying I'm mad but it suits me and I am happy to pay £2 per month extra for the 4G speed, other might be too!
