Well, I did shop around a bit (i'm in the northeast) so may be a bit cheaper than south) but was quoted 2250K including stamp, then got info from them quoting a bit less than that. This firm are actually the most expensive in that area i'm told.
However I have set aside 5k for the whole process, as I will have rent and mortgage to pay for a month, and maybe 2 months mortgage coming out in a month depending on when things happen.
Thank you for your reply.Yep...still at it, working out how to retire early.:D....... Going to have to rethink that scenario as have been screwed over by the company. A work in progress.0 -
£5k is a good amount. That's what we have too
I'm getting excited. Only a few weeks to go!

I've budgeted £3-4k excluding stamp duty for surveys, solicitors etc. but I'm going for building surveys which are more expensive as mainly looking at victorian properties. Also if I have money left over it can go towards the furniture budget that's really tight at the moment.Starting Mortgage Balance: £264,800 (8th Aug 2014)
Current Mortgage Balance: £269,750 (18th April 2016)0
