Met parking charge notice

Hello,

I was issued a parking ticket at Virgin active car park in cricklewood for parking outside the markings of a parking bay... However the ticket was issued with the WRONG DATE!! i was there on the 21st of May and the ticket says 5th of June.. I'm not sure what to do? should I appeal it or simply ignore it as i was never at the car park on 5th of june and they can't prove it??

Was this a ticket on your windscreen or through the post? I'm guessing windscreen from your post.

Either way, do nothing to start with - they could possibly issue you a corrected ticket. After their ability to do this expires (which will be on different days depending on your answer to the above, either 14 or 56 days from the event) then you might consider appealing. As today is 5th June, arrange for an alibi or witness statement or photos of you elsewhere right now for the time on the ticket. Then you can correctly appeal saying you were not there for the times stated.

Also edit your post to remove all date and place information, and anything wchich can be taken as hinting to the driver's identity

Who cares about the date when this is a scam? You do know this isn't a parking ticket I hope and have read some current threads already about PPC scams?

Was it placed on the windscreen then? If so wait for the first postal Notice and if this was in England/Wales you can then plan a challenge to the posted letter.
