Some parts of the world are suffering with Surveyors hugely and have had a Nationwide done today instructed 3 weeks ago...

FWIW I submitted a Nationwide app yesterday and the valuation is booked for tomorrow.

Had a similar situation earlier in June. Got AIP from Nationwide and valuation booked a couple of days after. Apparently Nationwide likes valuation first before underwriting.
Luckily our broker is on the ball and received info quickly that Nationwide underwriter will lend less than the amount they've agreed to in the AIP. We managed to cancel the valuation the morning of the booked date to avoid the £360 valuation fee.
Switched to applying to NatWest and they do underwriting first. So now 3 weeks later still waiting for outcome and valuation appointment.
And we're supposed to complete on June 28th. How that's going to happen, I don't know.0
